Sydney Rowing Club have been announced as the Club Points Champions of the 2017 Sydney International Rowing Regatta. The club won with a total of 229 points, with the closest competition coming from cross-town rivals, Sydney University Boat Club, with a total of 193 points. Fellow New South Wales club, UTS Rowing Club finished in the third, while Victoria’s Mercantile Rowing Club finished in fourth.
President of Sydney RC, Keith Jameson said: “I am delighted that Sydney Rowing Club has again won the Club Points Championship. This demonstrates the commitment of our members at all levels. Our athletes and coaches have worked hard to promote a culture of excellence, teamwork, and positive peer support, with an emphasis on working together to produce the best possible results for their club.”
The remainder of the top 10 clubs included University of Queensland BC, Toowong Rowing Club, Melbourne University Boat Club, Swan River Rowing Club, Adelaide Rowing Club and West Australian Rowing Club.
