Rowing Eight Lane Progression - with Repechages

1 - 8 Entries

All crews go directly to Final.

9 - 12 Entries

Two heats, one repechage and one final.
First two crews of each heat goes forward to Final; the remainder go into the repechage.
The first four crews in the repecharge go forward to the Final. The remainder are eliminated.

13 - 16 Entries

Two heats, two repechages and one final.
First two crews of each heat goes forward to Final; the remainder go into the repechage.
The first two crews in each repecharge go forward to the Final. The remainder are eliminated.

17 – 20 Entries

Three heats, one repechage, two semi-finals and one final.
The first four crews of each heat goes forward to the Semi-Finals; the remainder go into the repechage.
The first four crews in the repechage go forward to the Semi-Finals. The remainder are eliminated.
The first four crews in each semi-final go forward to the Final.

21 – 24 Entries

Three heats, two repechages, two semi finals and one final.
The first four crews of each heat go forward to the semi-finals; the remainder go forward to the repechages.
The first two crews in the repechages go forward to the semi-finals. The remainder are eliminated.
The first four crews of each semi-final go forward to the Final; the remainder are eliminated.

25 – 32 Entries

Four heats, four repechages, two semi-finals.
The first two crews of each heat goes forward to the semi-finals; the remainder go forward to the repechages.
The first two crews of each repechage go forward to the semi-finals; the remainder are eliminated.
The first four crews of each semi-final go forward to the Final; the remainder are eliminated.

33 – 46 Entries

Six heats, five repechages, two semi-finals and one final.
The first two crews of each heat goes forward to the semi-finals; the remainder go forward to the repechages.
The first two crews of each repechage go forward to the semi-finals; the remainder are eliminated.
The first four crews of each semi-final go forward to the Final; the remainder are eliminated.
