Welcome to Rowing Australia's home page for the 2004 National Championships and Interstate Regatta.

The Championships are now only days away. This year our host's are Victoria and we are racing at Nagambie in central Victoria. The organising committee has worked hard to ensure that no stone has been unturned in making the 2004 Championships the best ever.

Nearly all the entries have been received and they are currently being collated. The number of entries in each event will have a bearing on the race schedule. We will keep you informed. As is the case in all major regattas the draw will not be conducted until the day preceeding the first heat. Entries have been received far and wide for our National Championships. We even have International Rowers with a contingent from Chinese-Taipei. As we head to towards the Olympic Games the number of entries demonstrates how healthy our sport is looking not just now but into the future.

The National Championships are one of the highlights of the year for our sport. For rowers it is a chance to strive for that title of being the best in the country. Racing is always hard and close. But it just not racing it is a chance to make friends and renew past friendship from rowers and supporters around the country.

The National Championships will cumulate on Sunday 14th March when the Interstate Championships will be conducted. Along with other trophies the major trophies contested are the Queens Cup for the Championship Women's Eight and the Kings Cup for Championship Men's Eight.

We are planning to keep you informed through the web site of all the action. Plenty of photos, audio, live race tracking and plenty of stories. However remember that the web site is for information only. Ensure you check at the course for the time of a race, draw etc. To all those competing good rowing, those planning to go to Nagambie have a great time, but if you can not get there we will keep you informed.
