Rowing Six Lane Progression - with Repechages
Racing for all Championship and non-Championship events will take place over six lanes using the six lane progression system.
1 - 6 Entries
- Final only
7 - 8 Entries
- Two heats and one repechage and no semi-finals.
- The winner of each heat goes forward to the Final; the remainder go into the repechage.
- The first four crews in the repechage go forward to the Final. The remainder are eliminated.
9 12 Entries
- Two heats, two repechages and no semi-finals.
- The winner of each heat goes forward to the Final; the remainder go into the repechages.
- The first two crews in each repechage go forward to the Final. The remainder are eliminated.
13 15 Entries
- Three heats, one repechage and two semi finals.
- The first three crews of each heat go forward to the semi- finals; the remainder go forward to the repechage.
- The first three crews in the repechage go forward to the semi-finals. the remainder are eliminated.
- The first three crews of each semi-final go forward to the Final; the remainder are eliminated.
16 18 Entries
- Three heats, three repechages and two semi-finals.
- The winner of each heat goes forward to the semi-finals; the remainder go forward to the repechages.
- The first three crews of each repechage go forward to the semi-finals; the remainder are eliminated.
- The first three crews of each semi-final go forward to the Final; the remainder are eliminated.
19 24 Entries
- Four heats, four repechages and two semi-finals.
- The winner of each heat goes forward to the semi-finals; the remainder go forward to the repechages.
- The first two crews of each repechage go forward to the semi-finals; the remainder are eliminated.
- The first three crews of each semi-final go forward to the Final; the remainder are eliminated.
25 36 Entries
- Six heats, six repechages and three semi-finals.
- The winner of each heat goes forward to the semi-finals A/B/C; the remainder go forward to the repechages.
- The first two crews in each repechage go forward to the semi-finals A/B/C; the remainder are eliminated.
- The first two crews in each semi-final A/B/C go forward to the Final, the remainder are eliminated.
Note that selection races will follow a different format - to be advised.
