The Medical Service Provision guidelines are a practical guide to event organising committees in quantifying and providing medical, rescue and safety services at rowing events that fall under the auspices of Rowing Australia (RA) – taking into account all relevant factors and the nature and intensity of National level events.
Past experience, input and expertise from a range of service providers, other sporting federations and experienced rowing regatta medical practitioners have all been utilised in formulating these Guidelines.
This document is a ‘live’ document – and may be updated from time to time to cater for changes in current trends, needs or requirements.
Whilst these guidelines are mandatory for all Rowing Australia conducted events, it is recommended that State Associations and other event organizers consider these guidelines in assessing their own requirements for their events.
