RA National Selection Policy 2010–2012

NRCE Selection Objectives

The vision of RA through the National Rowing Centre of Excellence is to have the most successful international program in world rowing, to be judged by Olympic and Paralympic gold medal success. The Selection Policy outlines the framework for international crew selection that underpins the vision:

(a) for Senior A Athletes, to select the best Athletes in boats (including development boats at World Championships) that give those Athletes, and the program, the best chance of success ultimately in London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games; and

(b) provide suitable development opportunities for future potential medal winning Senior A Athletes when selecting teams to represent Australia at World Championships (Olympic and non-Olympic boat classes), Under 23 World Championships, Junior World Championships and other applicable regattas.
