Paralympic Preparation Program (PPP)
Rowing Australia has entered into an agreement with the Australian Paralympic Committee to establish and develop a Paralympic Preparation Program (PPP). RA’s PPP is managed through the NRCE and integrates Australian Paralympic Committee (APC) talent search days with the establishment of structured programs and selection requirements to optimise Australia’s opportunity to win medals at the Paralympic Games.
The Adaptive Rowing PPP squad for adaptive rowing (current at December 2011) is:
PPP Squad
Monitored Athlete Squad
The Monitored Athletes Squad includes adaptive rowers who Rowing Australia believes have shown some potential in their classification. These are either new athletes or athletes who have previously represented Australia and had some time away from the sport. New athletes will be monitored to see if they continue to show steady improvement that might see them make an Australian team. Returning athletes will be monitored to see if they show consistent high performances measured against current prognostic speeds and benchmarks.
