The NRCE's overall objectives for Sports Medicine are:
- National delivery of fully integrated world leading Sports Science and Sports Medicine programs.
- Utilise the Sports Science coordinator to facilitate the performance management of medal capable Senior A athletes.
- Implement focused research/innovation capable of providing a performance gain at the London Olympic and/or Paralympic Games, utilizing the best sports science and sports medicine resources across Australia
